Child’s Play!

Hi there!

……” I follow a very strict beauty routine, which
comprises of a cream cleanser, a toner, an eye cream,
a serum, a day cream, a night cream and a tinted
sunscreen during the day.
It takes me some time to put all these on my face
every morning and every night, all the year round.

For the last six months I’ve been trying to simplify
my whole life.
I want to make things easier and quicker for me,
as well as reducing daily stress.
This is my goal at the moment, and it includes my
beauty routine, too.

I happen to be a natural health addict, so I am
determined to start using not only less but also
more pure products on my face.
That means I’m going to make my own cosmetics
using clean and unrefined home ingredients ……”

Izzy said to me last week, looking really set in her mind.

Aesthetic Principle

You read every day how all these toxic chemicals the
companies use in your skin care products can be
damaging to
your health.
But the only way to avoid all these toxins is to make
your own skin care products.

Certainly there are many reasons to make your own
cosmetics like,

you have full control of all the ingredients used,
*     you avoid all chemicals, toxins, additives and preservatives,
*     they will be gentler on your skin,
they will be a much healthier solution,
they are easy to make in your kitchen,
*     natural ingredients can be more effective on your skin.

The top most important creme to keep the external layers
of your skin smooth, soft, elastic and flexible is a moisturizer.

This vital emulsion will keep your skin well hydrated and
maintain your youthful looks for much longer.

The Ultimate Anti-Ageing Routine

Firstly, determine your skin type.
Secondly, choose the best products
your type.

1)    Start with a softening Cream Cleanser
clean and refresh the skin.

2)    Follow with a clarifying Toner to
any leftovers and hydrate.

3)    First step, use a rich Eye cream
which targets
wrinkles and under eye
bags for younger
looking eyes.

4)    Next step follow with an anti-wrinkle
to protect the skin’s youthfulness.

5)    Now smooth a firming Day Moisturising
that also reduces the appearance
of wrinkles.

6)    Finally cover your face with a good
anti ageing
Sun Protection cream that
contains antioxidants
and a SPF
more than 30.

7)    At the end smooth lightly a lip balm
on your lips,
and cover with a lipstick in
a youthful dark pink or red colour.

8)    At night follow the same ritual,
and finish with
a rich Night cream for
a smoother, firmer and
more radiant
looking skin.

Every week or so, exfoliate your face
to remove dead
cells, by mixing a

a)    If you have black circles and
puffiness keep your
hair away from
your forehead, so your eyes are not

the first thing people see on your face.

b)    If you have brown spots and other
signs of ageing,
take antioxidant
Pycnogenol supplements.

c)    Go to bed and wake up at the
same time every day
to maintain
your overall beauty.

Actual beauty comes from within!

Pipe Dream!

Hi there!

Sitting in my desk overlooking my nice garden
with its tall hedge, and listening to my
music, I was thinking Time is Everything;
and it shouldn’t be wasted!
Looking younger does not mean we are better,
but definitely we do not want to look older;
although getting older is inevitable — and the
consequences are: thinner skin due to loss of fat,
and loss of elasticity with the very obvious effects
of gravity.

Yet again Age is only an Illusion.
Obviously we have to accept this natural biological
process of ageing without hiding, judging or criticizing.
We need to embrace some of our lines and move on;
because it doesn’t stop.
But at the same time there is a lot we can do to maintain
the quality of our skin without spending huge amounts
of money in very high-tech cosmetics or surgical solutions.
I myself follow a very strict skincare regime to maintain
my skin, which I will share with you:

1)   I rinse my whole face with warm water (not hot)
to wake me up and dry softly.
2)  I clean my face and neck skin with a softening creamy
cleanser for mature skins to remove any impurities
using a cotton pad.
3)  I apply a clarifying toner for mature skins to my face
and neck to remove any traces of the cleanser using a cotton pad.
(I use double faced oval cotton pads; they are bigger and
thicker so I use only one)
4)   Now I pat onto the delicate skin around my eyes an
anti-ageing cream to hydrate and help reduce the
appearance of lines.
5)   Then I apply a thin layer of a speciality serum for
mature skins to my face and neck skin to prepare it for
the moisturiser.
6)   I leave 1 minute for the serum to be absorbed and then
I apply a rich creamy moisturiser for mature skins to my
face and neck to hydrate.
7)   Finally I massage an SPF 50 UVA/UVB sun protection
cream to my face and neck skin before I go out during the
day  (winter and summer).

I follow all the same steps but for step 5 I replace the serum
with a Vitamin C product to smooth, revive and enhance
the natural glow.
Obviously I omit step 7.
I am very pleased with this routine and I intend to keep it.
Should the products I use be discontinued I will keep to the
same routine using other similar products.
On occasions I use a Revitalizing 10 minute Eye Mask
treatment for puffiness and fatigue.
When I was younger I used to use a lot of make up, but
now I find it is not so necessary and a bit of trouble to
have to remove it every night; so I do not use any make up
now except :
1)   Lipstick. I use three different shades of red.
(I feel naked without it!)
I always use lip balm because the skin on the lips is
thinner and prone to dryness, even before I put my chosen
lipstick on.
2)   A lightening liquid concealer for the under-eye shadows.
3)   A brow gel to hold the eyebrows in place.
Let me have your thoughts.
