Roly-Poly!

Hi there!

During the last six months Ila has been going
through a lot of stress, and suffering from anxiety.
Her mother was seriously ill and dying, and her
marriage was falling apart.

It was impossible for her to sleep at nights any
more, and during the days she was struggling
to get by and survive.

Her one and only consolation was food.
Utterly confused she kept on eating …… eating
anything, especially sweets    and the weight
was piling on.

It’s so unbelievable how much food I can eat
in a day she thought one evening.
She started feeling ashamed of herself, and awfully
guilty for eating so much.

Then suddenly she realized that there were many
advantages being overweight.
For starters, she felt protected, and not so vulnerable,
defenseless and exposed any more.

In human history, being fat was always a sign
of prosperity and affluence.
Nowadays, being fat is considered a great health
danger.
But latest research reveals that being moderately
overweight is useful and beneficial for you in
many ways.

According to these latest studies, although being
highly overweight or obese you are at a higher risk
of
developing certain chronic diseases, at the same
time, being moderately overweight you will
enjoy a longer life.

It all comes down to your genetic make-up, how
much physically active you are in your daily life,
your diet habits, and certainly it depends on your
overall lifestyle,
how healthy or unhealthy it is.

It is a common belief among medical professionals
that being overweight can protect you against a
number of serious diseases.
It can also provide you with extra energy during
sickness times.
In general, having an excess of fat cells in the
body enhances longevity.

Lightning Bolt

There are numerous health enhancements you
will enjoy if you are moderately overweight.
Some of the most unexpected benefits are the
following:

a)     Stronger Immune System

Fat around the various body organs interacts
and
aids the immune system’s response.
Damaged tissue is repaired rapidly and
heals better.

b)     Faster Recovery Time

When you are ill your body needs much more
energy to rebuild and cure.
Fat tissue provides the extra energy needed
to recover as quickly as possible.

c)     Protection Against Senility

Being overweight will defend against any mental
disorders and brain deterioration.

d)     Alleviation Of Arthritis

Abdominal fat helps prevent the onset and
consequent attacks of chronic arthritis.

e)     Delayed Ejaculation For Men

Abdominal fat carries female hormones that
inhibit the male orgasm, giving you an extra
eight ( 8 ) minutes.

f)     Overall Body Protection

Excess fat around the body will cushion and
support all important organs in the event of
various accidents.

Aztec Women

Second Childhood

Having extra fat around the body is much more
important for older adults.
Plentiful studies during the last years have revealed
that being overweight after the age of fifty (50 ),
offers serious protective effects against all

illnesses.

Also, being overweight is particularly beneficial
and guarding against any bone problems, as well as
assisting with better recovery should any health
trouble arises.

In addition, if you are a menopausal woman,
if you have excess fat all over your body, you will also
have higher levels of estrogen circulating in your
blood;    because estrogen is produced and stored
in the fat tissue.
This can be advantageous in the alleviation,
relief and delay of the menopausal symptoms.

Therefore, for any person above the age of fifty
it is absolutely crucial not to restrict his/her
nutrition in any way in order to lose weight;
because keeping your weight up, you will definitely
increase your chances for a healthier and
longer life.
Weight loss after that age signifies the general
decline of the individual.

Springtide!

Hi there!

It was a beautiful, sunny and warm spring
afternoon when Jo decided to walk back to his
office, after his lunch meeting.

As he was walking down the lane enjoying
the peaceful atmosphere, suddenly he started
feeling his eyes itching and his nose becoming
stuffy and runny.

Not again;   every now and then I have to suffer
the same uncomfortable situation he said to
himself appearing very annoyed.

As thousands of people everywhere, he had
experienced the symptoms of a very irritating
seasonal allergy attack.

By now he was feeling distressed and miserable,
so he decided to hurry back to his office and
handle this problem appropriately.
He did not want this troublesome situation to
interfere with his work ………….

Spring is in the air:   we now enjoy longer days,
warmer and sunnier weather, we notice lots of
insects and birds around and see the new flowers
blooming.

But for many people, the beautiful and so much
anticipated spring is bringing all these annoying
seasonal allergies.
It is all about the tree pollen at this wonderful
time of the year.

Tree and flower pollens disperse and travel through
the air.   Consequently people inhale these irritants
without noticing it and start developing various
allergic reactions.

An allergic reaction to an external stimulus
is a dynamic immune response and affects mainly
the respiratory system.
Many people are genetically predisposed towards
allergic attacks.

But in general allergies are a sign that some
body systems like, the immune or the adrenal

or the digestive are weakened to some extent;
so basically these type of allergies are customized
for each person separately.

As with many other problems, there is a good
number of natural remedies you can try at home,
before you run to the pharmacy and buy an allergy
medication, which could cause side effects.

The Jazz!

Hi there!

Ady was a busy woman only in her early 40s.
For the last six months she was following
a reducing diet very low in protein, because she
wanted to lose the weight she had accumulated
during the last year.

This diet is killing me;   my skin has changed
awfully it’s sagging and deeply wrinkled “,
she said one day breathing out heavily.

Every morning she looked herself in the mirror,
remembering those old days when her face skin
was soft and resilient, luminous and bright.
She felt very agitated and depressed.

I want to be slim, but what a price to pay for
reaching this goal!   I now look fifteen years older
than my actual age , she thought;
and immediately felt she was ready and decided to
forget all about her strict diet and losing any more
weight, and start eating properly again.

Your skin is attacked and irritated every day
by stress, the environment and your hormones.
Also the two main factors that influence the
quality of your skin are your general lifestyle
and your genetic inheritance.

Your old cells age and are constantly replaced
with
young ones, which need a steady supply of
nutrients to support their growth.

Beautiful and glowing skin has become an
obsession
for most people these days;
do consider though, that the foundation of your
beauty is not expensive creams and cosmetic
surgeries    but your daily diet.

A wholesome, healthful and nutritious diet to
provide all the necessary vitamins, minerals and
chemicals will help maintain, repair and enhance
your skin’s overall health.
It will also help minimize all skin conditions,
wrinkles and the total ageing appearance.

Hi there!

I met Al a few years ago, when he was
decorating my new house.
Al was a good looking 45 year old, happy man
with lots of clients.
But Al had a horrible secret.

Every now and then he had to avoid going to
work and stay at home, because he was suffering
from these crippling headaches.

It’s one of the worst feelings;    I start
experiencing a building pressure that grows
worse and worse, then I feel dizzy and nauseated
until I throw up.
I have to stay in bed because I feel so weak and
really sick until this headache goes gradually,
which takes usually a couple of days .
He said to me one morning on one of his breaks.

I remember my father was suffering from
these debilitating headaches, so it seems it is
in my genes;    the only thing I can do now is to
take preventative measures not to suffer it
very often ” ……….

Hi there!

For the last eight months she has been going
through a difficult and very stressful divorce.
She was feeling worried, continuously tense
and extremely scared of the future.

Once again she woke up in the middle of the
night totally distressed.
She started tossing and turning  —  and the
time was passing without her being able to go
back to sleep again.

For some time now she has been feeling complete
discomfort in her private parts.
As the time was going she found out that her
vulvae had become dry as a bone.

It’s unbearable.   I can’t go to my gym anymore,
I can’t walk properly, I can’t sleep at night ……..
I must get some
advice as soon as possible ,
she thought.

And so she did, although she was feeling extremely
embarrassed to discuss this delicate issue…………

Vaginal dryness is the quiet plague.
It is the widespread problem most women
hesitate to discuss with anyone because they
feel nervous, afraid and embarrassed.

It can affect any woman between the ages
of
18 to 45 years for various reasons;
but
it is much more prevalent in women above
the age of 45 years old, when female hormones
start declining and menopause usually starts.

According to surveys an average of 55% or more
of all menopausal women have experienced
vaginal dryness.
Unfortunately this is an extremely uncomfortable,
painful, frustrating and depressing condition,

Consuetude!

Hi there!

Izzy was a very attractive brunette in her early
40s, happily married with a great social life.
Tonight was her night out with her two
closest girlfriends.

They arrived at ” Mahiki their most favourite
club-restaurant and were guided to their table.
I’d like a Mustique Fizz, please she asked.
Can I see your ID, please the barman replied.

That was unexpected and all three burst out
laughing in the idea that Izzy had to prove her
age.   They thought he was joking.

But Izzy felt very flattered and took this as a
compliment;   that people actually thought
she looked so much younger than her actual age.

I believe this is all down to my very healthy
lifestyle choices I have adopted for some time
now and of course my good genes she
said smiling proudly……
